Fully Damaged Drive

I feel for the guy. A failed drive is never a laughing matter. I have experienced 3GB worth of mp3s, started from the time I was 15 on dial-up, disappeared in a puff of smoke.

But this screenshot is just too awesome to behold.

A fully damaged hard drive. I have read about Seagate’s 7200.11 drives failing before, but this one is taking it too far!

Of course, let’s not forget that it could also be a software glitch by HD Tune.

Seagate drives aren’t really known for being unreliable. My 2 Seagate 7200.10 320GB drives are still going strong after a few years. However, my last 3 harddisk purchases have been from WD. Hmm…

@ Ridzuan: Doesn’t seem so. From the thread, the guy’s HDD has been problematic for some time already.
