Rediscovered: My Long Lost Tumblr Blog

Monday, March 9th, 2009

Everytime I hear or see some cool new thing on the web, I just got to try it out. Not sure why. Web junkie? Just like my About Me page says, everytime you see “Shmutt” as a user somewhere, that’s probably me.

I didn’t know I had an account on Multiply. I have absolutely no idea when I registered. Except that user “Shmutt” worked with my simple insecure password. Wierrrdddd…

Recently, I read Luke Maciak’s post on his /dev/random site update. It is actually a Tumblr blog which he uses to post random inane stuff, which is actually the point of Tumblr. So I had to check out what exactly is Tumblr all about.

Surprise surprise: I already have one! With a single standard “Hello World” post.

Of course, I have no idea when and where I registered. Perhaps it is on September 15th, 2008 12:21am, which is the exact date and time when I made that post. Wait, that’s only like 6 months ago. Is getting senile at 27 normal?

I thought that integrating it into my domain would be quite cool. Read a few stuffs, made a few emails to my webhost (which is kickass by the way, especially for Singaporeans). Ok, so maybe I got inspiration from someone who’s already doing that. Anyway, it’s not patented, so I don’t think I’ll be hit with any lawsuits anytime soon. (I hope..)

Thus, if I find something cool, funny, gross, wierd or funky, I’ll be putting it up there. I’ve linked my shared Google Reader items to it and linked the Tumblr blog to my Twitter. Awesome! I’ve aptly named it No Brains Needed, because like a bad B-grade Hollywood action flick, it really doesn’t need any brains to go through and read. There’s nothing there right now. And I’ve not done much customizations yet. But rest assured, it will be full of inane stuff soon, maybe even LOLCATs nonsense if I’m that desperate for content. Be sure to check it out once in a while.
